Well, Today we started a new chapter. My 9 year old has qualified for a new therapy called myofunctional therapy. Prior to this (these first 9 years of her life) she has had these regular habits or what her dentist now would call symptoms from an improper jaw size. Meaning her mouth and jaw are too small and she has certain results because of it. These certain symptoms/results are as follows: overcrowding of her teeth; snoring; frequent ear infections; can't sit still for nothing-ADHD; little focus and short attention span-ADD; and acid reflux. The signs of acid reflux were noticed in her teeth when we became patients of Dr. Lynda. No other dentists had ever brought this to our attention before. I am thankful that this was brought to my attention. After I was given this news, I made an appointment with her Primary Care Physician who gave us the referral to see a gastroenterologist, who did an endoscopic procedure.
